Eighty-nine percent of firms want to execute a digital-first business strategy, according to a 2018 survey from the analysis company IDG. Companies that have already adopted a digital-first strategy reported an average revenue gain of 34%.

Companies must make sure that their users, whether they are their customers or workers, accept the digital tools they purchase. Increased staff productivity is often used to assess the digital adoption of internal software, whilst other business KPIs and, in the case of sophisticated businesses, product experience objectives are used to measure the digital adoption of customer-facing products.
