Arts Cart is an Ontario, Canada-based business that is a resource to the local creative community in Hamilton.

From large format printing of your design content to luxury decor reproductions of contemporary and master artworks—they have you covered.

They are one of the best selling wall arts sellers on the Etsy platform and reached out to us to revamp the website as well as finding ways to explore new opportunities as an independent brand on Shopify

Challenges

• The original theme has some coding functions that need to be migrated to the new premium theme
• The brand should be unique but not overly colourful to distract the audience's attention to the arts products
• The main goal is not only to display the products but also to use the website to create a community for local artists so they can get in touch with Arts Carts for long-term collaboration

Solutions

1. Theme Upgrade

• Chose a theme 2.0 to upgrade the original website for better customization feasibilities
• Added essential pages such as blog, about us as well as contact us to convert more traffic into leads
• Migrated copywriting, products and collections, optimized the home page, optimized the main navigation to make the theme more user-friendly

2. User-Friendly Website

• We sorted all the art pieces by artiest, size, and stye (i.e. pop, abstract, etc.) and listed them as separate collections
• Added product filters to enable customers to choose product types according to their needs, find their favorite products faster, and improve the customer shopping experience
• Added size, material variant options for each product on the product page

3. Ongoing Email Marketing & SEO

• We did an audit on the Klaviyo account to determine if Arts Cart is ready to proceed with email marketing and decided to focus on the email automation series set up & SEO first
• We set up email automations such as abandonment carts recovery series, welcome series, etc. and personalized the email design
• Optimized the on-page SEO before building more back-links to boost the business's presence on Google search (key words, alt text, etc.)
